Classes & Events
Class Policies: In fairness to our students and staff, it is ESSENTIAL that you pre-register for ALL classes, clubs and events, whether free or not - we need to know you are coming and WHEN, so that materials can be prepared, and space allocated. If you cancel 48 hours prior to the event, your fees can be refunded or applied to another class. For cancellations less than 48 hours ahead, fees will not be refunded. Supply lists will be provided with paid registration. If we cancel a class, fees will be refunded or applied, your choice.
Classes with fewer than 3 students registered will be cancelled 48 hours ahead.

And now for something a bit different! We have a unique class offering for you - a fun quilted tablerunner class, utilizing in-store webcasts, plus in-store help, and the chance to finish your project on our longarm using QBOT Automated Quilting!! Sound good? It gets better!
For this class you select from an assortment of color pallets for your project. (some choices are shown at left) The deluxe kit will include ALL fabric, including batting & backing materials - and everything is laser pre-cut for you! This will be an all-day class with a lunch break. During class we will be using webcasts from MyQBOT.com featuring Denise Applegate-Schoeber, a nationally known educator & creative designer you will not soon forget. She is the creator of the QBOT Projects we will be doing. You will also have Mary & Flo working with you in-store.
In addition, after we complete the first series of recorded webcasts, Denise will be joining us live via the internet to answer questions, offer more unbelievable tips & tricks!! This is an EXCLUSIVE for us at Quality Vac & Sew!
Cost for the deluxe kit, including class fee, use of QBOT, etc. will be $75.00
Cost for kit without batting & backing, use of QBOT, etc will be $50.

Quilting 101

By popular request - an introduction to quilting for the real beginning quilter. Learn the basics of quilting while completing a classic Rail Fence Wall Hanging. In this class you will learn about fabric & color, rotary cutting, straightening fabric, binding, stitch in the ditch, and much more!
In this 5 week class, you'll start at the very beginning, and take home a finished project. Class meets on 5 Thursdays, from 6:00-9:00PM. Class Fee: $50, plus purchase of required book . This has been our most-requested class, so get in your registration quickly - class has a 10 student maximum

Don't forget - every month, the 3rd Saturday is Super Sewing Saturday - a day for you to bring whatever you are working on, your machine & supplies, and sit and sew, visit, and get help to finish those UFO's you've been saving up! We provide sewing space, hands-on help when you need it, and best of all - when the phone rings, It's Not For YOU!
This has been one of our more popular "events" for some time - why not join us and see what everyone else is doing? Have a project you can't figure out? Quilt block s aren't coming out square? Keep up with the latest in embroidery techniques, designs and ideas. The monthly package includes exciting new designs. Also included each month are directions for a main project and a quick project. Cost for each package is $22.00, with no additional class fee. You may view the project samples in-store each month for the next month's club. Quilting Techniques Class will be a monthly techniques class, running for Three Months beginning in February. Students will learn applique techniques, as well as finishing techniques to complete the wall-hanging or table-runner project of your choice.
You may choose either the Morning or Evening Session for each month.
Class Fee for all three sessions is $15.00.
