As you are probably aware, Executive Order 20-20 was announced by Governor Walz on Wednesday. According to page 10, paragraph ii, Quality Vac & Sew is categorized as an Essential Supply Business because we sell supplies that are necessary for "(3) the maintenance of the safety, sanitation and essential operation of homes or residences."
We also fall under the order on page 9, paragraph x: ".....and all other service providers who provide services that are necessary to maintain the safety, sanitation, and essential operation of homes and residences and the Critical Sectors listed in the Executive Order."
As such, we will continue to be open to provide you with vacuum products, including bags, belts & filters, as well as sewing needs like thread, supplies, needles, etc. I will also continue to work through our backlog of sewing machine repairs. We are here and eager to help you - please give us a call during regular hours at 507-452-2203 if you have questions.
Having said this, in order to adhere to guidance from Minnesota Dept. of Health, and to help restrict the spread of the COVID-19 virus, we ask that you take advantage of Curbside Pick-up and Drop-Off. In addition, our online shop is being updated and expanded - check out the side article for details on this. Give us a call ahead, or when you arrive to let us know what you need, and we will have it ready and brought out to you. Rest assured that all repair intakes and products are being disinfected and cleaned thoroughly.
Until further notice, for the safety of our customers and our staff, we will no longer take in Bag-less Vacuums or Shampooers for service. It is impossible for us to control the exposure created by such machines in the shop, creating unnecessary risks to all of us. I apologize for the inconvenience but I hope you all will understand.
We will continue to disinfect all common contact surfaces throughout the day, as outlined in our previous update.
We will continue to monitor the COVID-19 situation and follow the directives of government agencies and public health officials and adjust accordingly. We will continue to support our community and you, our customers as needed.
